FANTASY TREE CREATION PART 03
In this video I add Batch Leaves to the root system, building an ivy-style leaf material and cutout, tuning orientation, fold, curl, and gravity so the small root-leaves look natural, and reducing force strength on individual roots and branches to fix over-attraction to the rock. I then build the main branch structure using bifurcating branches with a Ring force (Preset set to Max) so branches spread outward believably, adjusting bifurcation threshold, noise, and size for variation. I add a separate twig branch system without the rock force, orienting it upward toward the sky using starting angle and gravity, then attach batched leaves using the same material as the roots for consistency, refining fold, curl, skin size, and Extent Variance for a natural, less repetitive look. With the model approaching nearly 3 million faces, I optimize by increasing the segment optimization settings on the heaviest root and twig systems, roughly halving face count in stages while checking the shape still holds up, before saving and exporting the finished fantasy tree from Speed Tree as an FBX using the Blender preset.
