FANTASY TREE CREATION PART 01
In this final lesson I show how to build a fantasy tree whose roots wrap around a rock. I import the rock mesh not as a regular Mesh node but as a Force (via right click Add Geometry, or Scene Object, Forces, Add Force), scaling it down and applying a simple gray placeholder material since real shading happens later in Blender. I add the trunk and attach it as a root system pulled toward the rock’s surface. To get the ring-like root cage effect, I shape a torus force and tune the trunk’s spine length and Preset settings so branches wrap fully around it, adjusting quads, segment definition, and boundary values (First/Last) so the trunks don’t all spawn from the same point and instead approach from multiple directions. I refine the shape further with skin radius curves, gravity, and starting angle, and note an important quirk: when a force is applied to a node, Late Noise has no effect since it acts after the force, so any organic irregularity needs to come from Early Noise instead, applied before the force takes hold.
