TREE CREATION PART 02

n this video I build and shape the tree’s main branch system using multiple curve controls: the length curve to taper branches smaller at the base and tip while bulging in the middle, the orientation curve to pinch branches upward toward the top, and separate gravity curves for the overall system versus individual branches, giving fine control over how each branch bends. I break up overly even branch distribution using spiral, spread, and variance settings, then optimize the mesh by disabling an unnecessary geometry option that saves around 20,000 polygons with no visible difference, and add subtle late noise so the branch doesn’t look perfectly straight. I finish by adding a Batch Leaves node for the needles, using a free Poly Haven pine needle texture (color, alpha, and normal maps, since final shading will happen in Blender), and building two separate cutout shapes set to Any so Speed Tree alternates between them for natural variation.
