BUSH FINAL TOUCHES + ANIMATION PART 01
In this video I import the 700,000-polygon bush FBX into Blender and start building materials layer by layer. For the bark, I quickly generate a full PBR setup using Node Wrangler’s Ctrl+Shift+T shortcut on a Principled BSDF, enable Displacement and Bump together, and dial the displacement way down since the trunk will mostly be hidden by foliage anyway, then tweak specular and base color. I move through the flowers, leaves (including the smaller leaves under the petals), and pistils, applying the shared leaf shader node group each time, plugging in color, opacity, normal, and roughness maps, then dialing in saturation and the Random Leaf Color controls to get punchy, varied yellows, greens, and reddish tones across the foliage. Throughout, I isolate individual parts with the slash key to work on them cleanly before bringing the full model back into view to check how everything reads together.
