FLOWER FINAL TOUCHES + ANIMATION
In this video I show how to quickly reuse the wind animation built for the grass on the flower asset. I select the flower then shift-click the grass and use Ctrl+L > Copy Modifiers to bring over the Displace modifier setup, then apply rotation and scale and heavily reduce the displacement strength since the flower reacts much more strongly than the thin grass blades. I recreate the vertex group with Weight Paint’s gradient tool so the top sways more than the base, and duplicate the noise texture (renaming both to “flower noise” and “grass noise” for clarity) so each asset can be tuned independently, adjusting scale as needed. I also show how to refine the wind mask further using the paint brush directly, since parts of a plant like the center are often more sheltered from wind than the outer branches, letting you combine gradient and brush painting for a precise, believable result. This same approach will be used again for the tree animation.
