FLOWER CREATION PART 05
In this video I build out the complete plant from the single stem created earlier. I add new branch nodes off the main trunk, reusing the leaf system setup while fixing UV texture repetition, adjusting gravity, orientation, and noise for a natural stem curve, and following my reference images to place flowering stems higher and non-flowering stems lower on the plant. I duplicate this branch system to add a fuller cluster of smaller leaf-only branches, tuning length, radius, spread, and gravity so they don’t all spawn from one obvious point, and use the Randomize button, both per-node and for the whole plant, to get quick natural variation. Once the plant feels complete, I focus on optimization: reducing the leaf cutout’s tessellation amount since the model will be repeated many times in a scene, restoring enough late noise and geometry detail to avoid jagged edges, and checking the face count of each system. I finish by exporting the finished plant from Speed Tree as an FBX using the Blender preset, planning to further reduce the polygon count with a Decimate modifier once inside Blender.
