FLOWER CREATION PART 04
In this video I generate the petal texture in Midjourney (reusing my leaf prompt but swapping in “flower petals”), following the same background removal and opacity map workflow in Photoshop. In Speed Tree I create the petal material, draw its cutout shape distinguishing the two overlapping petal layers visible in reference images, then apply it to the placeholder branch and spend time adjusting branch length, gravity/ancestors settings, and boundary count so the petals sit correctly around the stamen rather than inheriting the leaf shape they were copied from. I add a separate pistil material and cutout using the same AI-texture workflow, positioning and scaling it at the center, cheating the branch radius and length slightly to hide its imperfections since it’s barely visible on the final model. I rename the branch color layers for clarity (petals, sepal leaves) and do a final size pass on the whole flower head. With one complete stem finished, I move on to duplicating the system to build a full plant with multiple stems.
